Moyes quote after the game:

“He would have been in the squad tonight. He missed out for disciplinary reasons, he turned up late to a meeting and not for the first time.”

Re: Antonio
Perez needs a lot more time. Always looked good to me when he got minutes at Arsenal.

Should easily be good enough for us as a squad player.

Re: Antonio
From what I have seen Antonio offers a lot more in the central striking role than Pérez does.

I was going to pretty much what Vexed said at 8:06

He has clearly bulked up at the expense of fitness and stamina.

Re: Antonio
Vexed to be honest when we signed him I presumed that meant that Hernandez was definitely leaving. I think they are too similar, and neither really suited to the way we play most of the time.

Re: Antonio
I'm just not convinced by Perez at all. Maybe if he was first choice somewhere and gained some confidence. who knows ?

Re: Antonio
Not a very intelligent purchase then!

Re: Antonio
Palace were interested but not sure they made a bid.
Should have been more determined to get him out.

Re: Antonio
I think Perez would do better if played as part of a front two, he's too small to really play the lone striker role and not a good enough winger to play wide.

Re: Antonio
I think Perez is due a few more minutes before being written off. Antonio should be shifted if we can find someone with a bit of dough who don't care how they throw it away. Palace then. He already plays for us.

Re: Antonio
His best day's long gone. He's a Championship player who got a bit excited when he got a chance at the PL. To be used only as a sub for Arnie, if and when.

The one thing MP needs to sort out is his subs. Fuck Perez and this fat cunt, at least Snodgrass puts in a shift and can actually pass a football. Even if he is a Jock.

Re: Antonio
Done too many weights the fucking tool. Like all the Michael Bolton lookalike meatheads up the gym that push enormous weights but get out of breath at the sight of a treadmill.

Re: Antonio

But you haven't seen the best (most ridiculous) argument.....an Antonio, on his best ever day, playing like a world beater, making Messi look like a Sunday league footballer, would be better than a fucking shit Anderson.

Good comparison, eh?

Mart O 7:57 Fri Oct 12
Re: Antonio
Now Anderson may have his faults, but anyone who thinks this fat, useless cunt is better needs their head examined.

Re: Antonio
There has to be something medically wrong with him. His lack of fitness and stamina is shocking, and can't all be down to his weight increase.

Re: Antonio
Not sure why people over complicate it tbh. Hes had an 11 year football career. For the first 8 Of those, he was playing at lower levels of the game. Hes had three years in the top flight, and 15-20 good games, being generous. 15-20 good games at this level in an 11 year career. They are the outlier, but his form now.

Russ

spot on, he was hungry to prove himself, he clearly isn't hungry any more because he's eaten all the pies.

It may not have anything to do with Payet. You may be over-complicating it.

I think Antonio was playing well and had a better attitude then as opposed to him being pretty shit with a poor attitude now.

Sven Roeder 4:09 Fri Oct 12
Re: Antonio
My original point was that Antonio is one who has missed Payet the most.
I think in that first London Stadium season most of his goals were early on ... Aug / Sep

Since then he has been injured , fat and missing Payet
